So now we know, if this had been a racist attack some in the press and usual suspects would have been screaming from the roof tops. One of the citizens whose prompt actions saved lives is a flag protester the other is a bandsman! Well done them! Hi Michael just to let you know it was myself and another passer by alerted the emergency services think his name was xxxxxx one of legal observers from the protest at the rock.was walking home from work and saw the smoke billowing out 2 doors up was flats occupied by Polish people we tried banging the door to alert them it wI dnt usually walk down that way usualy cut through stormount street but for some reason or another walked down the Avenue way for change. Im glad i did now if hadnt have rung could have at least five that came out of flats in hospital or worse as i was standing waitin or fire brigade we were able to see how quickly it was spreading down the top floors as the bell wasnt working ,I tried booting door in but it was a security door it didnt work luckily one came to window when he heard door being booted and was able to tell them there was a fire spreading from two doors down from what i could see the two building which were on fire were empty
