So on Tuesday afternoon i posted how i suddenly started having chills and body aches. By Wednesday morning my fever spiked up to 102.9 and my headache unbearable so I went to the Warrensburg Urgent Care never noticing that my right leg was turning red. The nurse taking my vital signs told me to lay down while I waited for doctor and then noticed my leg. She was very quick to get the doctor in the room and I was diagnosed with Cellulitis. Cellulitis is not contagious but fast moving bacterial infection underneath the skin cause by a pin prick entry point that the bacteria gets in and attacks the tissue. Two injections of antibiotics later and oral antibiotics started on Wednesday my legs is still swollen red and hot to touch. I am grateful for the nurse Kathy and the doctor at urgent care who have been taking care of me, I feel that we often do not take time to say thank you to those who work so hard in the healthcare industry.
