So...our new neighbors have 3 dogs that have wreaked a little havoc since their arrival. The owners have self-installed invisible fence and the dogs have run through it. I walked by their house tonight with my 3 dogs on leash and the wife is working at the bottom of the driveway. She tells me she added another line of invisible fence to help keep them in the yard since they tried to attack a dog someone was walking on the road. At this moment, a chocolate lab (mix?) bolts down the driveway (dont think it had a fence collar on), onto the road and heads for my dogs. All I can think of is MAXIMUS! I mean, really, he could be an appetizer! Allie and Zeda leap in front of me towards the dog and as Allie is contemplating on how she wants to handle the situation, Zeda grabs the dog by the side of the face and ear!! She is ripping and tearing and trying to take that dog down....the dog is rendered helpless as it cant get to Zeda. Im trying to stay upright and not get entangled in 3 leashes as Im screaming to Zeda to LET GO!! They finally separate and the lab runs home....the wife is yelling I dont know what to do anymore....ummm...heres a couple of options: Have Invisible Fence install THEIR system and your dogs WONT blow through it OR tie your dogs up while you are outside. MORAL OF THE STORY: If you are a dog and you encounter ZEDA, the Warrior Dog, put your happy face on, wag your tail and act like you want to be her friend. If you run at her acting like you want to kill her....shell kill YOU first!! :)
