So proud to be part of FHC and the FHPS community that comes together to support AnnaLee Konsoer-Rose (FHE student athlete) at the FHC/FHE games this week on Thursday (at FHC) and Friday (at FHE). Please come out and support this meaningful effort. Much thanks to Stephanie Thornton for putting this together and to those friends who have already contributed. Heres some more information: This Friday, December 19th FHE’s Varsity basketball teams will play FHCs Varsity basketball teams. The games will be at FHE: boys at 5:30pm and girls at 7pm. At half time of both games, we will have the chance to cheer on our Forest Hills Special Olympics team. Lots of fun packed into 1 evening. We would LOVE to have you come!! In addition, FHE and FHC communities are coming together to help honor AnnaLee Konsoer-Rose. AnnaLee, a senior and one of the critical players on the FHE girl’s varsity team, is unable to play with her team this year. AnnaLee is a phenomenal young lady and athlete.; she plays volleyball, basketball, lacrosse, and track. Last year AnnaLee became very ill. After visits to many doctors and hospitals, it was determined that AnnaLee had cysts on her spine. Although they have worked with doctors from many fabulous hospitals, AnnaLee’s cysts repeatedly come back. She is in constant pain. She has missed a lot of school and many of the “extra” events that are part of one’s senior year. AnnaLee is not only a phenomenal athlete, she is a remarkable leader and a genuinely outstanding person. AnnaLee is a champion and continues to stay positive. She is that student that is kind to everyone. She strives to make those around her feel special. She is an encourager and someone who constantly brings out the best in others. AnnaLee is the friend that we all want our child to have. It is our hope that the FHC community and the FHE community will come together as one to honor AnnaLee. Support from the Forest Hills community helps to keep their family going when they feel discouraged. AnnaLee and her mother hope to make it to the games; they will be returning from John Hopkins Hospital in Texas. How can you support AnnaLee? FHE has established an account for AnnaLee at Chase Bank for those who want to help with the medical expenses. If you would like to contribute, checks can be made out to: AnnaLee Konsoer-Rose Donation. Checks can be brought to the game and placed in the donation jar or dropped off at any Chase Bank. Shop at Kennedy’s Floral (Flower Power) on Saturday, December 20. Kennedy’s has offered to donate 10% of sales to go in AnnaLee’s Chase account. Please grab a flyer for Flower Power at the donation table at the game or print the one attached to this email in order to assure proceeds go toward AnnaLee’s account. Please keep their family in your thoughts. Thank you for being willing to consider supporting AnnaLee and her family. Thanks too for supporting your FH Special Olympics, Ranger and Hawk Basketball Teams.
