So sad to see the deterioration of a majority of Malay Moslems as the country heads in the direction of cutural Arabisation. In terms of appearance, yes most Malay Moslems comply with syariah/ muslimin-muslimah dress code. But sadly in terms of behaviour and the words that come out of their mouth... Oh my. Prime example today, a man in complete muslimin appearance- jubah, lebai, long beard and bearing the Quran in one hand got into his car and as he drove off, he wound down his window and shouted to a group walking by, Hoi bodoh! Jalanlah cepat sikit!. Sungguh memalukan. How embarassing it is that my religion and my race is more often than not represented by individuals such as these. Pakcik, sorry to say this but whilst your outer appearance is that of a pious religious man you are extremely rude. Even if that group of people were walking a tad slow for your liking, there are better words to use to advise them. In any case, whatever happend to the concept of sabar and iman. That it happened on a Friday, the holiest of days makes it even more difficult to fathom. PS: the greater the devotion to the Almighty, the more He tests us. I guess the tests sometimes come in the smallest and slightest of forms with great repercussions.
