So sad, yet so true... We show you another owner surrender..... We received a phone call asking if we had room to take in a 7 year old Female American/Rednose Pitbull due to the family moving and not being able to take her with them... (She had been with the same family since she was just 5 weeks old) Of course we said yes bring her on out... Not knowing the condition she was in til arriving!!! (SHOCKING, IRRITATING. & DISGUSTING all at the same time) Our new sweet baby girl is known as Katrina.... What is wrong with her you ask?!?! You see her nails are outstandingly long (even after trimming them once) and you see red all over her... What could it be??? Red Mange (Demadex), skin irritation, infestation?!?! So many things it could be... Katrina went to the vet yesterday and we were informed this sweet sweet quite girl has a SUN BURN, what looks to be a 3rd degree sunburn that is infected.... She is now on an antibiotic and spray gel since the area is so large and cream is sure to be uncomfortable.... We are making every effort possible to keep her comfortable and easy during the heeling of this... Please keep Katrina in your prayers for a fast and safe recovery... She will NOT be available for adoption for some time til massive healing is overcome... We will be sure to keep updates posted along the way.... Thank you in advance for your kind words of inspiration and heeling prayers for Katrina....
