So some time ago, a group of taxi drivers in KL staged a protest - TopicsExpress

So some time ago, a group of taxi drivers in KL staged a protest against the Land Transport Authority (SPAD) and one of their reasons for protesting was that there far too many taxi permits approved. I think the figure was something like 80,000 cabs or so (I stand corrected). A very large number compared to the likes of New York and London. So why is it that with this many taxis in this city, it is virtually impossible to find one on a stormy Friday evening? Not only do we have to deal with there not being any on the street but the few that are available either become so picky and refuse to take relatively short trips and extort desperate customers. My litany of complaints against this despicable species of "humans" is endless... Moaz Ahmad, I think all out war needs to be declared against cabbies in this city!!
