So sweet, I had to share....I heard her before I saw her, the sound of heavy boots running up the stairs. Momma, Momma - why didnt you tell me?? Just look what I found today!!. Back in August, I had the privilege of being selected as one of the Be Brave honorees through The Center 4 Women! It was one of those days, I will never forget. However, I must not have told the kids or shown them the article about it in the paper. Well, today in her art class, they were using old newspaper for their projects and wouldnt you know that is the VERY piece she pulls out!! She was so excited! The teacher let her keep the article (although I have a copy for her tucked away). She was so sweet, she said,Momma - this is way cool. I got to show my teachers and friends! I am so proud of you!. I will be honest and say that day back in August was one of the most amazing days ever, but this moment given to me by my daughter was priceless. Raising children is a tough job, but to hear my child say she is proud of me, makes my heart burst into a million pieces ! I am so blessed to have such incredibly thoughtful kids. Little does she know, that what she said to me means more to me than any award! #lessonsfrommydaughter
