So the Navajo Nation Supreme Court found the election board in contempt and each member will be removed from office, the election has been postponed and Chris Deschenes name has been removed from the ballot? This is an unheard of stall tactic implemented by his opposition to count and verify how many people voted for Chris Deschene as well as to have him removed from the Navajo Nation Presidential election ballot. This tactic they used was based off of fear, fear of change, a change for positive, a positive future for our people! At the head of all this scandal is corruption, greed and untold truths and we the people of the Navajo Nation are tired of it and want change NOW! The removal tactic thats been enacted on those within the election board committee is justified by the laws of the Navajo Nation but obviously some of those on that board felt they needed to put their foot down, stand their ground and let it be known that something is awfully wrong and something needs to be done about it. The people are tired of decades of corruption, unheard of side deals that were kept quiet or introduced until the farce of benefiting our people, questionable and mismanaged funds that only lined the pockets of those in charge no matter of what office, it all comes down to personal greed! Also trying to dictate whos Navajo and who isnt Navajo based on whether you speak our language or not is just another form of ethnic and/or racial discrimination! If youre going to use that tactic, I suggest that every non-fluent and fluent speaking enrolled tribal member contact your local office or chapter of the EEOC and file a claim against those elected officials who are stating this against their own people. Racial discrimination isn’t only one race against another race, it also includes Navajos towards other Navajos and it WILL NOT be tolerated and should be stood against! Those in office or those with the money can try and stop us, but WE the people of the mighty Navajo Nation wont give up the struggle for positive change! Because we are all tired of the headache and heartache created by our Nations leaders and we want change NOW! Its time for a change, its time for a cleanse, we the people can make this happen and those elected officials know it can happen and thats why all this is happening, they are afraid at what they can lose from being an elected official, the financial and/or social glitz and glamour of being an elected official or in worse case scenarios being negatively exposed once the truths are discovered at all their falsified interactions and crooked dealings. For far too long we the people of the Navajo Nation have been lied to and used as ponds in the many grand scheme’s to financially fill and line the pockets of corrupt elected officials and many of our own people’s lives have been put at stake due to these types of individuals! Chris Deschenes name may be off the ballot but you can still write him in! If or when they allow the election to continue, all my fellow Navajo Nation members who want change, WRITE HIS NAME IN!!! I believe this candidate might be the one who brings the change, let him try, let him further learn the language, let him bring in new ideas; let him be elected our tribal president! Fear is an individual’s biggest enemy and hinders advancement and growth…
