So the end of an incredible year has come and gone. Since early days in my life, though I have travelled to far more unusual places around the world, Paris has always eluded me. The fact that I am sitting in Paris and just saw 2014 out on the Champs E-lysee is symbolic of a chapter/ circle closing and of new beginnings. Or maybe my wedding or the marriage of my eldest son and the embracing of so many new children to our fold in 2014? What if it was merely the feeling I had as I lifted my face to my first ever snowfall on a yellow night in Godvangen, Norway or the rush riding a sled behind a pack of dogs feeling totally out of control of my own destiny? What defines the closing of our circles? They say that life changes when the North Wind stings your cheeks. Would the wind on the icy streets of SaariSelka, Arctic Circle be that wind? Did it blow from the pole and did it carry change in its wings.... I think it is as Victor Hugo says: The greatest happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved; loved for ourselves; or perhaps, loved despite of ourselves... Yes Victor you are right - my circle is closed cause I am loved. Bonjour 2015 - I am Happy to embrace you! Thank you Dave for completing my circle.......
