So, the government has no money to leave an open air, unmanned, - TopicsExpress

So, the government has no money to leave an open air, unmanned, public war memorial open, but it has plenty of time and money to place barricades and armed police officers around that same memorial? At what point do we as a country become tired of the puppet show that this administration continues to play for us? To lead through fear is to not lead at all, but instead to rule through doctrine and fiat. We have seen this parlor show before. This administration and the entrenched elitists in DC have shown who they really work for: themselves. Compromise and negotiation are things of the past. The modus operandi on Capitol Hill is now "get the other guy before he gets you". This is ridiculous. Congress and the President still get paid whether we are in a "shutdown" or not. They have chosen to line their pockets while millions of Americans struggle to put food on the table. They act in such a glib manner that one would wonder if they even understood the gravity of the situation, or if it was just another Wednesday to them. There is plenty of talk, but the old adage holds true that actions speak louder than words. The key players are sitting on their hands (or playing golf) while talking about how the other side did nothing to prevent this from happening. ENOUGH. I am now calling every person on my friends list out on this. If you have not contacted your Senators and Representative, you are officially part of the problem. Without each and every voice, they will continue to play the political games that have put us into this position and they will continue to not listen to what the American public wants. Stop allowing them to speak on your behalf without your input. These barricades around DC, around these public memorials, are all for show. There is no other reason to put them up than to make a very clear and deliberate message to the people of this country: "I own you. I will open and close what I wish as I wish, and I will continue to blame the other side for it all. I will do all of this even as I continue to flaunt my penchant for golf games and foreign vacations (thinly disguised as "diplomatic missions"). You will do as I say, when I say, for as long as I say. Any resistance will be met with swift and prolonged mockery and disdain, your arguments will be discredited, and you will be torn down in front of your friends and enemies alike. Fall in line, or face the consequences." You know what you must do. Make the time.
