So the human called the vet to talk about my stuffy nose and the shower and stuff. He said it was a great idea of her to take me with her into the bathroom when taking a shower, and also to humidify the air in spaces where the heating is on. Its hard to say what the cause of my stuffy nose is and they could examine that, but its not a nice examination and would cause me a lot of stress. The trip to the vet alone would already, but the examination even more. They now agreed that the human will keep taking me to the bathroom with her when she takes a shower, to see if it keeps improving me. If it doesnt, or if I get worse again anyway, they can try if another antibiotic helps. And if that doesnt help either, then they can do the examination of my nose. The human also talked about what my troublesome ears, the infection in my throat and now my stuffy nose could possibly have to do with one another. The vet says everything. My ears have been causing me troubles since long before the human took me in and I have been snoring off and on since she did take me in. The infection in my throat is/was a virus, but due to my ears and nose, (and of course my FIV,) my throat might have been extra sensitive for it. And the infection may have caused my nose to get worse. Good thing my ears looked better the last time I was at the vets. And taking care of the humidity, giving me vitamins and soon the L-Lysine too, are all not just good now that Im sick, but always. So the human will. The human already looked into several different ways to humidify the air and added some stuff that can help with that to my wishlists. But remember the thing she got from her sister this summer when it was so hot? You can put ice cold water in it and it blows cold air then. The human will try to put hot water in it tomorrow. She has a thing she can measure humidity with and will check that before and after she tried it, to see what the effect is. For now she put a wet towel on the heating when she put it on. Dont know if its still the effect of the shower yesterday, or the wet towel on the heating, or both, but I still feel better than before we tried that. The only time I went upstairs to the cat room today, was when the human was away. She came to check on me when she got home and I went downstairs with her when she did. I stayed downstairs since. Im still tired and do sleep a lot, but I have been eating Hermans kibbles without the human having to hold them under my nose. When the human takes a shower later, she will take me with her again. Those pressies we got today are a real hit. I loooove my banana and actually slept on it, to make sure Dushi or Herman dont take it away from me. They like it too and the human says they did play with it when I was sleeping without it, so the next time I took a nap I took it with me. Herman had loads of fun with the other new toy. The video shows the first time he played with it, but later, when the human wasnt filming, he played with it a lot more enthusiastic. He jumped, ran and caught it over and over again. The human laughed out loud when she saw it and I must admit it is fun to watch. And it tires Herman without the human having to do anything for it! I like to watch the toy itself too when its swinging. In the video you can see that Dushi was curious about it too. Her and me havent actually played with it yet, but we didnt get the chance yet, cause every time the human pushes its button so it starts to move, Herman comes running. In my earlier post about the pressies, I told the human could see one of us had been lying on, instead of in the new cat bed when she came home, and she suspected it to be Herman. She was wrong. It was Dushi, and Dushi has done it again. Of course she got up again when the human wanted to make a pic of that... When the human didnt see Jinx anywhere when she got home, she checked his apartment. She cant say if he was either in or on it, but he came walking towards her as soon as she opened the sheds door. So I guess we can say that, with the humans help, I took another baby step in the right direction. Were not cheering yet, cause Ive had better days before and got worse again after that, but lets hope I now finally keep making steps in that direction. Its about time I do. Tomorrow is Terrible Tuesday, but itll be different from the usual ones. The human will leave the house much earlier, but she wont stay away all day and be home again somewhere in the afternoon. Ill probably wont post before she leaves, cause she hates having to get up early and probably wont give me the chance to post then, but I will post in the evening. So itll be just the other way around compared to other Tuesdays, when I do post before she leaves, but most times not anymore in the evening.
