So, the other day I was watching a youtube video tutorial in Photoshop. As many of you see I love fractals and the pretty pictures fractals make. I hate math and numbers but that is fractals. Fractals are math based, and triangles that you form into pretty pictures. So I was curious to see if you could do fractals in Photoshop without all the math and formulas (ugh math). Low and behold much to my surprise when I found a simple easy to follow tutorial. Now. I wrote out the steps. For those of you that use photoshop here is another design tool you can use. Step 1. Open your version of Photoshop. I am using Adobe CS4 Phothoshop, but im sure this will work with any version. If not please correct me on this. Step 2. Go to File New. Choose whatever size you wish. for this version I am going to suggest 1024 x 1024 with a 72 Resolution. Step 3. Fill your background with whatever color you choose but i am using 4b62b9 this color is easy for me to see what i am going to do on the following layers after this layer. You can rename this layer if you so choose to Background, it is not necessary. Step 4. Choose either a brush or a custom shape this again is left up to you, but I am using a brush if you wish to have the same brush as i do please email me. Step 5. At the bottom right there is a little icon that looks like a sheet of paper with the ear folded down click the little icon and it will give you a new layer this is needed if you are using the brush method. If you choose the custom shape method you will have to right click and rasterize the custom shape before you move on to step six. Step 6. Once you have chosen a brush or custom shape and have put it on a new layer you will need to press on your keyboard CRTL + ALT + T (NOTE- this process is not case sensitive lower case or capital doesnt make a difference I only used caps to emphasize) This will duplicate your image. Step 7. At this point you should have an image that looks like this. You image should have a box around it like mine. https://flic.kr/p/qAfBaC Step 8. Decrease the size of the duplicate image and rotate it until you like the look of it. This is how mine looks. Now press enter. https://flic.kr/p/qiSVBV Step 9. Now comes the tricky tricky part. Hold down at the same time SHIFT + CRTL + ALT and press T until you get something that looks like this: https://flic.kr/p/pDytoa (the picture below is step 7)
