So the parents at Northwest Rankin are angry after the principal stated that the cheerleading/dance uniforms alone wont be allowed in class on game day. Shorts must be worn under the skirts so that they are in compliance with dress code. Now this, as the news stated, is a controversy making headlines. And Im sorry, but as the woman was ranting about this, I couldnt help but roll my eyes because, meanwhile, in Yazoo, we are fighting just to make sure that our children have adequate teaching staff/faculty and other resources they need to be able to thrive in an educational environment. Not saying that those parents shouldnt feel some type of way about the change, but talk about supporting two completely different prerogatives.
