So, the partisan spending bill passes by a narrow margin, in spite of the fact that those filthy Republicans again tried to shut down the government last night. Nancy Pelosi, Elizabeth Warren..working hard to close the shop...whats that you say? Theyre DEMOCRATS? Oh, shit...never mind...meanwhile, in a parallel universe, the whining about the torture of radical detainees continues..I heard one guy referencing the Geneva Convention this morning, apparently ignorant of the fact that that agreement only applies to nation state actors...not terrorists. Horrible tales of being served cold food, being forced to stand for 4 hours..shit, anybody who has ever served in our own military has been subjected to that! Being deprived of sleep for long periods...hey, ever spent a few days in a hospital? As far as waterboarding, many of our own people go through that as part of their training. Consider..if any of these bellachers, these protectors of all humanity, had their loved ones captured, raped, or beheaded, theyd be the first in line to turn on the faucets. And the final straw is that at that time, our operatives were acting UNDER ORDERS to perform what were, up until 2005, perfectly legal tactics...legal under the same justice department that now is crying foul. It must be incredibly easy to sit in a comfortable chair in Washington, safe and sound, with the benefit of hindsight, and support a joke of a report in which not a single CIA operative was questioned or interviewed. Its a slap in the face to those who risk their lives to protect those same pious bastards 24/7 all around the planet, to have to listen to shitwhistles badmouthing them for doing what they were called upon to do at an uncertain and unstable time in our history. But now, the plan seems to be, turn em all loose so they can go back to killing us again. Ahh, the humanity...
