So the surgeons wife stopped by Safeway this afternoon and asked the bakery to prepare a cake for her dear husband. Hes just finished is 500th open heart surgery and she asked the hospital for a red velvet cake, with blood red cream cheese frosting in the shape of a heart with the aorta displayed in full glory. The young cake decorator at safeway began to look a bit peaked, and said, I cant bake that! The surgeons wife went on to describe the vivid detail that her husband takes into account, with every single surgery, and how she often has to bleach his uniforms because they come home red. The young decorator declares again, I cant bake that. But the surgeons wife continues... Shes determined to get the cake she wants for her husband. The lightbulb brightens and she says, Can you put a candy scalpel in the side of the heart, maybe they can use a real one and well just cut the cake with that one? She continues, Maybe a few white veins of frosting through the heart, to indicate the problem hes cutting out, hardened veins, you know, like the heart was sick? The young cake decorator is holding onto the counter and turning green. Again, she says, I cant bake that cake. The surgeons wife says, Well, why not? this is a bakery, is it not? Yes, but Im vegan. I dont believe in eating meat. As shes gagging back vomit, she says, I couldnt even eat something that looked like meat. Should that girl be forced to decorate that cake? Is she discriminating if she doesnt bake the cake?
