So there are hysterical headlines today about Britains First 3D Printed Gun (The Guardian) and Police Raid Reveals 3D Gun-Printing Factory (The Telegraph). Rather than a trigger and magazine, what they have actually found, (as revealed to them and comprehensively proven within an hour by the users of Twitter), were a Spring-Loaded Filament Arm and a Filament Spool Holder and are actually 3D printed components for... A 3D PRINTER. And now Greater Manchester Police have backtracked a bit and are talking about how International ballistics experts will forensically test the components and we will make our decisions based on their findings. This is rather than holding their hands up, having a laugh and admitting it, followed with a At least you know were thorough joke. Instead, theyre going to waste ten grand of public money on trying to save face, rather than crime prevention or investigation. Absolute tits.
