So, this afternoon I have my first appointment with the surgeon who will be responsible for the forthcoming amputation of my toe/s (one or two) on my right foot following almost two years of Diabetic-related issues. Frustrating though this is - and it has got to me a fair bit - Im taking ownership of this and making it my decision, driving the process forward for self. Better a toe or two than a foot or a leg in the long run. Lets do this and move on. Strength and courage in the face of adversity. :-)
