So this is quite a big deal for me considering the changes ive been through the last few years.. Ive struggled with my weight for a long time, ever since hitting puberty those hormones went crazy, i found out i have PCOS (which isnt the cause of my weight but can contribute towards it with my low insulin levels). I wake up every day with the realization that this is it, that theres only one shot at this life and I can either enjoy the ride and live it to its fullest and to my highest potential or I can stay the way I am. So ive made the decision to change it all and live my life to the highest potential possible. Today i attended an appointment with Grant to see Melbourne Bariatrics Peninsula - Mr. Geoffrey Draper, After months of talking about it and going back and forth, ive finally sat down and conquered one of my biggest fears in actually talking to someone about my weight issue, being weighed and measured. It was a very REAL consultation. Being weighed and measured and seeing those numbers broke me down, 2 Hours and 40 minutes later Myself and Grant are booked in to have Gastric sleeves done. Of you dont know what a gastric sleeve is here is some information: geoffreydraper.au/Sleeve-Gastrectomy.html March 3rd , 151 days away for myself and March 17th for grant... it will be the start of a whole new chapter for us, We both are there to support one another and now all we ask is that we have the support from friends and family. January 1st i start my 8 week optifast diet and i suppose this is where the count down begins, we are following the dietitians way on optifast and greens starting January 1st, and this means both of us. Yes... Grant will be doing greens!! So cheers and well done to me and my wonderful husband for making such an amazing decision together and im glad we get to go through this together
