So this is todays adventure at adoptions. This poor baby was taken into Banfield and was given A 1k estimate which the owner could not afford. Well being the insanely TenderHearted rescue that we are we could not let her die. She has ingested pennies and is suffering from zinc toxicity. She is not doing well. We did rads and bloodwork at Banfield and then raced her up to ER. She has had a blood transfusion and is going into surgery now. She is not considered a stable candidate for surgery but we must get the coins out. She is up and walking which alone is a major improvement. Please keep Chloe in your thoughts as we hope she makes it thru surgery. We should know in @1.5 hours. This is costing us 3k that we do not have.... =( Also hoping her kidney levels can return to normal over time without permanent damage. She has a stuggle ahead. Thank u all for your support and especially to Beth Ludwig & Stacey Welch for getting her up to Southern Cresent today during adoptions.
