So this is what I deal with living with a clown (yes, Dan is real true clown...whether dressed as one or not). Dan, Bob and I all belong to the same gym. Schedules being what they are, Im almost always at the gym with Bob, not Dan - so many friends there think Im Bobs wife -- Dan and Bob have way too much fun playing with that belief. Anyway...today I go to Zumba and ask the young man at the front desk to please hold my keys, that my husband and I are switching cars, and hed be in to trade them. Realizing he would likely expect Bob to come in, I told him that the guy he always sees me with is not my husband and gave a brief description of Dan. I then texted Dan to let him know I clarified with the guy at the desk that he was my husband and not Bob, so hed know it was okay to give the keys to him. Well...Dan ran with that one. When he walked in, he said to the young man I know Melissa probably told you I was her husband, but Im really the boyfriend, Bob is her husband. So whatever you do, dont tell Bob about this. and turned around and walked out. When I went to leave and get the keys, I got um, he said he was your boyfriend and Bob is your husband....at this point I had no clue as to what had transpired. And thats a taste of my daily life....lol
