Look at Detroit. This city is great and needs to return to being a tourist destination and resort town rather than the wild west and corruption. As they have no purpose they must create one. The statistics will be amazing when all complied. They do fight some crime. But the main focus is revenue generation to maintain a police force this City in reality probably cant afford or maintain. Retirements and other legacy costs will destroy the local economy as the officers retire and new ones come on. The signs already are showing as the parking meters are up and other forms of TAXATION! Taxation is taxation and I have had enough. Tear down the useless parking garage which was a failure from day one. (Challenge you to prove me wrong!) Rip out the parking meters and hold events to generate your revenue needed to pay for projects like El Dorado beach (which you allow a few families to monopolize for private gain) and you really could not afford to do so now you tax us to park where we used to for free. Your political and economic failures are clear to all. Bloated budgets and lay offs from 2008 and yet you still cling to failures. The parking garage, the hole, the SLT PD and Jail. All wasting millions and millions of Dollars. 2008 will happen again and your lack of leadership and corruption has set us to be on a course like Detroit. We can not afford the legacy cost you are still creating. This is a tourist town. We manufacture fun. You harm our economy when you waste resources and then attempt to gain more by placing meters which ruin the atmosphere and feel of our City and cover it with parking police and SLT PD roaming to harass innocent people in an effort to gain $9000 for your coffers and pay your salary. The numbers are coming out. Broken down to the last cent to show how it is being wasted. Overlap, running SUVs etc etc. We will let We The People make INFORMED decisions.
