So this may sound a bit crazy... infact it just sounds flat out redonkulous, but never the less its been on my mind for a while and I think its a good thing to do for my self. I really want to change my name, maybe not legally because theres way too much hooplah involved in that lol, but start telling people my name isnt Guy... yes I originally got this Idea from Into the Wild, get over it! But part of this journey is becoming a new and better person then I was before and changing my life for the better, and I think having a new name will help me start a new life! So originally i wanted to start going by Life, because I really want something that paralles the meaning of my journey, but Life is just waaayyyyy to hippy dippy lol. But then I was having a conversation with one of the people here and out of the blue he brought up this term Derive theres supposed to be an accent over the first E, but I have no clue how to type it lol. So Ive done quite a bit of research on it, making sure its not like another word for F*** or anything, and that it really fits what I want, and it does! What it is, is a french philosophy of sorts , and what it means, in short, is to drift about using both chance and the draw of certain terrain and energies of areas (if you really want to know more about it heres a good link for it cddc.vt.edu/sionline/si/theory.html) Also the universe kind of slapped me in the face and yelled at me to use this name because it was founded, discovered, whatever, by a man NAMED GUY!!!!! So I think this is a really great thing for me. And I cant wait to meet someone new and not ask me if I have a sister named Girl lolol
