So this member of 18 years standing, former Regional Secretary and Chairman turns up to join the other 34 members or so of our National Association at the AGM after a drive to Oxford from North London. In the room is our Regional Membership Secretary who has got my license which I have asked him to keep until I can supply a photo because I need a valid international license. With me I also have a printout of an email which confirms that I have paid my 2014 membership dues on the 7.1.14. No doubt all of this is accessible through the central membership system. This apparently is not good enough to be able to exercise my democratic membership rights. I conclude that watching the T20 cricket round my mates in Oxford is clearly a far better use of my time.
