So this morning I was having my morning coffee, waiting for Guy to finish training his dogs so I could have the backyard to train mine, when I hear excited tapping on the back door. Guy asks me to come out, bring my phone and record smarty pants Timber who has just learned place in about 2 min. Usually there is a lot of luring with food to get dogs onto a place board for the first time, but it was no problem for Timber. He hasnt taught him down yet, so youll see that Guy breaks him off of place and keeps him engaged when he goes to lay down. He will build up on walking away from Timber, throwing in distractions and sending him to place from a distance over the next few weeks, but hes off to a great start with his place training.
