So, this past Wednesday was a little heavy. We wrapped up our Reality Check series with Life is Short Yeah, life is short and there is a 100% mortality rate on life. We all will die. Unfortunately some, sooner than others. We took some time to write some epitaphs and talked about how do we want to be remembered. While it maybe a dark subject and one that most people dont really want to talk about, we did. Hey, thats what we do at Campus Life. Talk about issues that we face. Everyone one of us will face death: death of friends, family members, pets....self. But we also talked about hope. When life is difficult and we are not in control, it helps to know that there is one that went before us. Jesus said: I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. (John 16:33 NIV) So as I have had more time to think about what I would want my epitaph to say I have come to this: Some would say tomorrow is just one step closer to death Id say tomorrow is just one step closer to life And understanding and to know its gonna be alright Check out this video.
