So this week I met my wife for lunch and a gentleman from across the room saw me sitting in my uniform walked up to me, reached out his hand, and shook mine and proceeded to say thank you for your service sir, he said lunch is on me. He told me about his father how hed served in Korea and more how he served in Vietnam. Shared quick story about leaving home, holding on to McKenna and Madison as I watch the twin towers fall, I knew I was leaving Alaska after September 11, 2001. Spent six months in the desert. He just wanted to thank me and my family and Ronette for the sacrifices. Powerful. I will be that guy in the future that does that for A Marine, sailor, soldier, airmen no doubt. People dont forget to thank your firefighters and policemen out there as well. J.
