So tired of reading reporting that the final report issued by the Extraordinary Synod on the Family was watered down by conservative bishops from the midterm relatio that generated so much attention. The relatio was not watered down, it was inaccurate. A midterm relatio is not a draft proposition, rather it is supposed to be a summary of the discussion up to that point in time, muich like the minutes of a meeting. This relatio, however, had been cooked by a small group of reformists in an apparent effort to set the agenda for the rest of the synod.
