So, today I turned 46. I have so much to look forward to this year. 1 month from today I will be getting married for the 1st time in my life. I am so very blessed to be so in love with Roy. I feel VERY fortunate to be in an epic once-in-a-lifetime relationship that many people dream about. I have never been in a relationship this long with someone and still feel so in love like we just met. Growing up, I thought that this day would never come if I fell in love with a man. I truly cannot wait until August 30th. It was 4 years ago TODAY July 30th 2010 that I proposed to Roy out in the middle of the ocean on a very small island called Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas National Park. It was one of the best days of my life. I had an engraved treasure chest buried in about 10 feet of water for him to find/discover while we snorkeled around the island. I am going to share something else with you. My father died at age 46. It was his 2nd heart attack. I have had some heart issues myself. I have always been a little nervous about turning this age. Genetically, I do NOT have the best chances to live a long life. All of the in-depth studies I have participated in suggest, based on my extensive family medical history that I am screwed. HOWEVER, I AM in better health than my father. I eat better, I work out, I am very happy and emotionally in a great state of mind and I do NOT carry around stress or negativity with me. I am in a very good place in my life. I have just always had this age 46 in the back of my mind. I am determined to not end up like my father. I am optimistic. I am healthy and as a doctor I am very aware of the steps to take to prolong my life span. I wish the same for my brother whose birthday is tomorrow and who is 1 year older than me. Today we are both 46. Tomorrow he is 47. I love you Ed and together we are going to change around the Seidler-males early death legacy. :-) Thank you EVERYONE for all of the birthday love and well wishes.
