So today we went to the parade and had a very fun day-but I wanted to share this post from a group I follow to give a little insight to the thought process that now accompanies every-day-normal events that I used to take for granted like going to a parade, birthday party, holiday event, or out to dinner.. So if I seem like more of a whack job during any of these events, you will know why...During the parade Logan asked me about 10 times (at least) if they were going to throw out candy "for him"...and what he meant was is it going to be ok/safe for him to eat...Well they did throw out some typically "safe" items, but that also involved me deciding without seeing the original packaging if it truly was safe (some items it depends on where it is processed and if packaged items). Not to mention the fact it was thrown with other nut containing candy...To give or not to give... That is always the question... Always striving to balance living as normally as possible while protecting your child ALWAYS....Explaining these concepts to a now 3 year old is not always an easy task...Allergy moms always appreciate when you ask questions about products and ingredients and any efforts you make to help keep our kids safe.
