So, we always try to be very forthcoming about what we sell, and the companies we choose to stock. I would like to put this out there and get some feedback from all of you. We sell Zukes- a very very popular treat line for dogs and cats. We have carried them since they started about 8 years ago, when they were just a tiny company in Colorado. Excellent ingredients, pets love them, and a nice business. In 2010, they were purchased by a private equity firm, but still- they maintained the same level of quality. It was just announced this week that they were purchased by Nestle Purina. We dont sell anything made by them for many reasons, one being that they use ingredients with which we are not comfortable, they have had several issues with chicken strip recalls from China, plus animal testing, etc. Not exactly up to the standards of The Animal House. That being said, Zukes maintains they will not change ingredients or sourcing and they will remain involved with the brand with Nestle as an umbrella. We have many other alternatives to Zukes, but we know its been a customer favorite. What do YOU think? We value your opinion. petage/zukes-joins-nestle-purina-petcare/
