So went yesterday with Johnny Michael 2 an ear specialist bc he lost his hearing aid a couple wks ago+ needed a new 1. I watched as he went through a series of tests. Found out that its gotten much worse. He is in the second last stage b4 complete deafness . He in the severe stage in both ears. He only has worn 1 earing aid his whole life but now must wear 2. The Dr adjusted 2 hearing aids 4 him+ he was amazed! He looked at me+ said Talk 2 me so i did+ he laughed + said jeeze your loud!!! I said oh shit maybe u should take those out!! The Dr was cracking up.. We left drove to my daughters house bc she had left Gauges medicine at my house. We went to leave+ John heard crickets outside her window in the back .. Mind u he hasnt heard that sound since he was a child.. We stood there listening 2 them.. It was amazing 2 see this. On the way home he said everything sounded stereo, he could even hears the tires of the truck going over bumps on the road!! Hes so excited he calls me + asked me to go to a movie tonight bc he has a gift card he got from Amalia Pirozzoli-Feuerstein 4 his b-day he didnt use bc he needs closed captions 2 understand the movie.. He soo excited!! The moral of this story is never take for granted the little things like hearing birds chirp in the morning or the sounds of crickets in the evening bc some ppl cannot enjoy those little things in life...
