So were at Wegmans in Brockport on a busy shopping night. Lines - TopicsExpress

So were at Wegmans in Brockport on a busy shopping night. Lines seem to be quite long for whatever reason. We get into what appears to be the shortest one. With a little over the 7 item limit, we enter one of the long lines. Doesnt is figure, we got a price check and a Gabby Hays in front of us and we see other lines moving and ours is dead in the water - not moving - not even thinking of moving. What happens to our patience? I imagine just reading this, our blood pressure is rising just a bit. Its interesting how we have become a society that just wants everything NOW. Not in 5 minutes, but RIGHT NOW! Let’s consider the biblical definition of patience. It can mean both longsuffering and perseverance, or not giving up and yielding under pressure. In either case, it reveals itself when we are willing to wait without frustration while suffering or experiencing some strong desire. In other words, we accept difficult situations without giving God deadlines. The danger of impatience is that we might miss the Lord’s perfect plan and His blessing. Only when we trust our Father’s will and timing can we rest peacefully. Maybe the extra three minutes in line saved us from a car accident on the way home. Or it could be a hundred other things. God has the reasons and we need to have the trust and understanding that He knows best. We should carefully examine whether we are taking matters into your own hands or releasing the circumstance to Almighty God. Psalm 37:7 says, “Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him.” Seek His way and His timing. Anything else could be harmful to our health!
