So what a great week ! My son and Kris got married in Vegas ! I cried in front of Elvis ! Seriously, I am so blessed to have such a wonderful daughter in law, Kristina ! She is a wonderful woman and mother. She and my son gave me my precious granddaughter, Ava ! Besides my own children, she is the jewel of my life ! My husband, Scott was the proud father of the groom. He shed a tear or two himself. He has been by Zacks side through thick and thin . Zack seemed pretty proud when we both announced we were his parents. Scott was even more happy to have a new daughter in law. Family, whether it is original or blended, it what makes life so important. We feel so blessed to have been part of their officially commitment ceremony together. Zack and Kris truly love each other and made me so proud to see how much in their eyes ! Now, I have just been informed that Willie Nelson is on their flight home and he just sang over the loud speaker to them ! What a great wedding gift for their trip home. First they had Elvis sing to them and now Willie ! Many years to come they may tell Ava their love story of when Mommy and Daddy got married. I cant forget how blessed we were to have Zacks uncle, my brother, Rhett in Vegas with us. Dont tell Rhett , but I saw him shed a tear or two. Thank you , Rhett for coming all that way and taking the time to come and be there and surprising Zack in Vegas. We love you very much ! Leaving all them , it was very hard and cried all the way to the plane. This just confirms that with the Lords blessing, it is time to go home and take my place where I / we need to be ! I have loved Oregon . I have wonderful family here and the best friends a gal could have ! We have been blessed with friends such as Bernie and Paul, John and Toni, Jessica,, Kim, Paula, Kim , Liz, Heather, Helen, Brandy, Holly, Dimitri, Matt, Jeff, Lance, Sugat.I have the BEST mother in law in the world, Karen, we love you more than words can ever express ! My father in law, Jack, He has be wonderful as well. We are so blessed to have you. I am sure that we wont be moving immediately but, the time is coming ! We have been blessed that over the last year, a very rough year, we are standing strong and even better, through the tears and fog, stronger than ever ! It is time, to go home ! Home. I wish I could click my heels 3 times and repeat : There is no place like home and be there ! It only worked for Dorothy ! Mine will take longer. HOME ! There is no place like HOME ! I promised my daughter, Britty ! I promised ! I keep my promises ! My family is growing and i want to be a part of it ! Oregon has been swell , but Texas flows through my heart !
