So, when I buy something on Amazon, or Zappos, or wherever I pay first and then it is shipped. So why should it be different when Im selling my book? Or anyone is selling something they made (earrings, shoes, handbags, etc.) Recently someone said they wanted to buy my book. I said YAY… heres the link to pay -- they wanted to send a check, I said COOL… heres my address… I waited for the check. And waited and waited… I didnt send a reminder because I didnt want to push…maybe they changed their mind, thats cool, I get it… I asked for payment not because I didnt trust them, because thats the way its done… because I want to be paid for my writing its my passion, its what I love, its a form of appreciation and etc. but beyond that… like Amazon, you pay and you receive the product you purchase. Unfortunately, I have lost a friend over this. I believe that authors/writers/poets (call us what you will) should be treated equally .. we put our blood, sweat, tears, personal lives, everything on the line, we get naked… What do you think. PS. not complaining just putting it out there…
