So whenever Ive asked veggie friends for suggestion Im afraid to say theyve come up pretty poorly. Everyone knows you make a decent veg curry and that quorn is a substitute for meat but I expected my non-meat eating friends to have a few more creative suggestions. Heres a few veggie dishes (and side dishes) Ive come across that I thought Id share: Swede and Potato pasties, take a while to make but are devine - blog.boden.co.uk/hughs-swede-and-potato-pasties/ Balsamic greens, Im a carnivore at heart but this is so sweet and tangy its always first thing to be devoured when its on my plate - abelandcole.co.uk/recipes/balsamic-butter-greens Sweet potato, garlic and chili mash, great low GI alternative to regular mash - bbcgoodfood/recipes/5526/roast-sweet-potato-squash-and-garlic-mash Coconut Dhal - recipe-finder/recipe/11185194179071624324 Kohlrabi Soup, I didnt even know what it was until the kohlrabi turned up in a delivery, very nice! - abelandcole.co.uk/recipes/hellas-creamy-kohlrabi-soup Macaroni Peas, ditched the creamy premade sauces and made this the other night (add a few pieces of crispy chorizo if u need a lil meat) - awaytogarden/macaroni-peas-from-river-cottage-veg/ Can def recommend checking out River Cottage Veg Everyday cookbook and casting an eye over Able&Cole Veg Box Companion (it was free when I ordered a veg box from them)
