So while walking uptown today, Dakota and i were stopped by a lady up the road from us who always stops us to talk for a few minutes while she is sitting outside with her husband. As we are rushing to beat the rain and get to a dry spot, she tells us to stop by on our way back cause she had something she wanted to give Dakota. So we go uptown, pick up some groceries, get Zach off the bus in town, and start heading home. As we come back through, sure as sure can be, there sat my friend, Jenny, outside on her porch, with three bags of stuff. She gave Dakota a couple classic toy trucks. She then hands a bag to Zach, and in it is a book and a collectors Nascar matchbox type car. I was having a real rough time today with emotions, and she picked up on that right away. She gave me a hug, and a bag for myself. In it were a bunch of books to read. It is amazing how such a little gesture can totally turn your day around. I walked home feeling so much better, compared to the mood I left here in, as I was close to tears when I left home to go get groceries. So thank you, Jenny, for helping put those tears to rest.
