So yesterday, a Muslim tourist couple approached me asking how they could get on one of those hop on and off city tour buses. As i was googling the info out for them, they asked me what they should do in Singapore as they only have another day left. I drew a blank, lol. I asked them where have they been, and theyre like oh theyve explored many of the key attractions around their hotel in Bugis like Arab street, Haji lane (since when did haji lane become a thing?), Bugis street, and theyve just finished walking around Gardens by the Bay and MBS. I asked if they liked shopping and they chuckled and said they can do that anytime, anywhere, no need to come to Singapore. They wanna see the unique Singapore things. Hmm. In the end, i suggested Botanic Gardens, one of the three zoos, and the national museum, and reassured them that catching a glimpse of the Merlion from afar is more than enough as it really is nothing more than a lion with a fishtail spouting water, regardless of what all those touristy lists of things to do say. So friends, what would you have suggested?
