So yesterday evening I was doing a few things around the house and the dog starts barking because there is someone at the door. I look, and it is three young men from The Church of Latter Day Saints. They asked if I minded to talk to them for a few minutes. So I stepped out on the porch and we talked. I told them I AM a Christian and that I know GOD is in control of every situation. They then asked me a question that really hit home! One of the young men asked why do you think GOD allows people to become sick? I do believe my response baffled them, judging by the look on their faces. I simply told them GOD doesnt let people get sick. Because sickness is pure evil and that HE doesnt create evil, however HE doesnt heal everyone in an earthly way. That some are meant to be healed by death and then they enter into eternal peace. And others, GOD uses their sickness to drawl people to HIM. Whether it be the person or their family. That even the truest and godliest person may become ill and GOD uses that to build others faith and so they will seek and come to HIM! They told me I seemed like a person who seemed to know about stuff. I told them Im still learning, but my faith is strong. Before they left they asked if there was anything they could do for me. I said well, if you pray to GOD, ask HIM to be with my sick Father and if you really need something to do, my grass needs cut! That gave them a chuckle and they shortly went on their way! I dont really know what their church teaches or about their religion, but I do pray that if it brings people to GOD and they follow the word of The Bible, that they go to every door and spread the word!
