So you know the feeling of driving home from vacation and you - TopicsExpress

So you know the feeling of driving home from vacation and you still have hours to go before youre there? Thats the exact feeling we have going on. We are ready. As long as Marshall can tolerate his procedure tomorrow without sedation then well be ready to go home. It has been sweet to see the relationships Marshall has built with his nurses. He cried today when he found out he wouldnt be seeing a few until the next round of surgeries. I too, have made many friends. I actually became emotional taking down his decorations in his room. ( Im not a highly emotional person so this was surprising even to me). Along with eagerness and sadness a lot of unknowns lie ahead. My emotions I know will surface with reality. Ive kept myself safe in the bubble of Ann Arbor. Reality will be here soon. Im not sure how thatll go but Ill think about that another day. Im realistic in the fact I know home wont be rainbows and lollipops. Marshall and I still have to deal with returning to where it all happened. Itll be hard but our family is strong. Today we had many of the people caring for us comment on how strong and positive weve stayed. As Ive said before, thats the option we are choosing to take. Paul wrote about when he is weak he is strong. Well that describes our situation. I feel so exhausted physically and mentally and just plain old broken and yet people say how strong weve been. Its not me its my faith on Christ. This is a lengthy one tonight. Im not sure in the business of tomorrow if Ill be able to update. This has been so therapeutic for me. Thank you everyone for listening, caring, loving and praying. Lots of the love from the Schemanskys. ❤️Jaymi
