He recenty returned to doing those Shane Fenton hits in his stage show; always great songs but probably surpassed when he came back in 73 with a slew of Magnet singles performed with the Gene Vincent/ Dave Berry vibe. I spoke to him twice when he was as lovely as could be. Hed not long finished a new album so its very sad. I asked him once why he hadnt kept his name - my name- of Bernard and he said its not a name to have if you want to be taken seriously and he was right! Red Dress and the re-working of Pretend were my favourites and Ill play them forever. Thanks for good times, Mr Stardust (and wasnt that always the coolest name in rock!). Bx
