Soccer Tigers, Firstly, thank you to those of you that participated in our winter charity tournament last year, and also for helping raise funds and awareness for children with mental disabilities. These events allow the members of the community, the players, and also their families to get more involved in the soccer community in the Greater Vancouver. Shaheen Athletic Club has also supported various fundraising events with local charities through its Annual Charity Indoor Tournaments over the years. Every year, the players of Shaheen Athletic Club host a winter indoor tournament in which they select a charity of their choice to allocate their fundraising proceeds to. For this year’s indoor tournament the players have chosen to raise funds and awareness for the exceptional work of the Westminster House Recovery Centre for Women. This year, Shaheen Athletic Club and Westminster House Recovery Centre for Women are joining together to host the Shaheen Athletic Club 2014 Annual Indoor Charity Tournament to be held at the NSGSC Windsor Bubble Turf facility on Sunday December 21st, 2014. Just like last year, this will be a one-day event. All games will be played 5v5, using futsal-size nets, in an indoor turf facility. There are two open divisions: a Mens Division and also a Co-Ed Division. Players in the mens division can also participate in the coed division. There will be prizes awarded to each member of first and second placed teams in the Mens and Co-Ed divisions. To register your team, follow these 5 easy steps: 1.
