#SocialAnxiety is the fear of what other people think about you, - TopicsExpress

#SocialAnxiety is the fear of what other people think about you, as well as feeling judged by other people and put on the spot. If you suffer from Social Anxiety, your #SelfEsteem will be low. Lets have a look at the relationship between self-esteem and social anxiety. Basically, your own personal views about yourself (self-esteem) gets projected onto the other person, becoming social anxiety. So if you think youre weird, youre going to think other people do as well. If you scrutinize yourself in the mirror before you go out, fixating on some perceived physical flaw, youre going to think that other people are scrutinizing you as well and looking at that perceived flaw. This is your own personal limiting belief and you will be reinforcing that limiting belief on a daily basis. You will be looking out for evidence that supports it. It could be comparing yourself to other people and if you dont match up in some way, in your mind, thats proof that youre weird. You may be out with some work colleagues and the conversation stops, for whatever reason. You may take this personally and think that it is evidence that they think youre weird and dont want to speak to you. All of these small, daily examples reinforce that belief about yourself and fuel low self-esteem and social #anxiety. So if you want to overcome social anxiety, it would be advisable to understand how limiting beliefs work and what effect they are having on your life. It would also be advisable to start with your self-esteem, then tackling social anxiety will be much easier!
