Softball impacts us in different ways. To be able to use softball as a get-away and an escape is certainly one of them. An 18 year old softball passioneer contacted me this week. In her email she told me me, Softball brought me out of a deeply broken home, and became a place of peace and restoration because I allowed it to take place in my heart that way. The part of that quote that sticks with me is I allowed it to take place in my heart that way. There are things that we cannot control on an every day basis, however, there are many things we continually have reign over. We all go through hard times. We all go through times we feel like giving up. But we all can take control over the way we view life and shape our own world. The next time you are out at a softball field, take some time to think about how YOU are allowing softball to affect your life. It should be in a joyous, spirited, fulfilling way. If its not doing that for you, if anything in life is NOT doing that for you, then its time to get away from that thing. Live life to the fullest, most positive way. Theres really no other way to do it...
