Soi Dog Foundation was contacted recently by a woman in the Phang Nga area, north of Phuket desperately pleading for some help for a local dog. She reported that Fogy had been dumped and she had taken him to the vet for his injured leg. The vet indicated that Fogy needed urgent surgery which would cost over 8000 baht (approximately 240 USD). The lady had over 3000 baht she was willing to contribute and asked Soi Dog for further help. Unfortunately, Fogy’s injury is an old one and cannot be fixed with surgery. The Soi Dog vets are currently assessing whether there is any chance Fogy’s leg will improve with treatment or if amputation will be required. Stay tuned for an update on Fogy in coming days.
