Solar activity is now at moderate levels. Old sunspot region 1944 produced two M-class flares this night. The first flare peaked at M1.0 and the second flare peaked at M1.1. These flares will have no effect on Earth apart from the R1 radio blackout that they already caused, but it is a clear sign that region 1944 is still active... and it is now starting to rotate into view!
