Some advice for anyone.... If youre getting multiple phone calls a day from either telemarketers, scam phone calls or whatever, go to this site. https://ago.mo.gov/nocall.php This is the Attorney Generals No Call List for Missouri. Add your number to it. If the calls keep coming, call the local county police department and they will work with you on getting the number calling you reported to the AGs office where the AG will work to find and prosecute the people behind the calls. On another note, if the number 877-361-0970 is calling you, DO NOT ANSWER IT. They are a scam. They may sound legal and threatening, especially when they are telling you that they have a lien against your tax ID number or that they have a returned item from your bank and if you dont contact them with the your information and the account number youll be faced with legal ramifications. But DO NOT GIVE THEM INFORMATION. They are looking for a way into your accounts to steal your money, your identity, everything. Ignore the calls, let them go to voicemail. If its a landline and you dont have caller ID, hang up on them as soon as you realize what is going on. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION. Please, use the No Call List. It could save you or some unsuspecting elderly person from losing all their physical assets.
