Some called us a lost “Generation, a failed state. All of us young people who served in the war. You are a lost generation. We are tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace. We (Somalis) are not all terrorists. We are not all pirates. We are not all extremists. We are not prone to violence. We are the pariah of society. We are the future of a nation. We are the land of opportunity. We are the nation of poets. We once were one of the greatest nations in Africa. We are kings and queens and Africa is our Kingdom. We seek guidance before the mantle can be passed to us.
