Some critics have argued that any violation of the laws of physics by God would bring science to a crashing halt. Therefore, they argue that we ought to reject the possibility of miracles...Science does require a certain degree of uniformity in nature. But there is no reason to suppose that science requires that the universe is perfectly uniform at all timeTimes. As long as miracles are rare (which they are by definition), science can proceed.
