Some good news ahead on the weather front but may get very cold later next week... Weather Eye from Sail Aweigh: Spring is definitely in the air... Overnight heavy rain clearing by early Friday to give a calm bright and sunny day. Saturday will see an Atlantic storm scoot past the Irish west coast bringing strong southerly winds and some heavy rain before daybreak. Winds will stay fresh to strong, southerly all day. Sunday will be a bright and dry day but itll feel cool in a fresh westerly breeze. Winds will ease later and some frost is to be expected as temperatures fall to around zero after dark. The Outlook: Monday will be a true Spring day with light winds, clear blue skies and plenty sunshine. Nights and mornings will see frosty conditions but otherwise warm pleasant sunshine by day. Things will remain settled throughout the week in the main but I would warn that a pattern is forming that could see a cold spell developing later in the week leading to a possible wintry snap but it could go either way really! One thing IS for certain - were in for a deserved quiet spell in the weather for at least a week. Next Update Monday.
